Superior Energy Services to be named to the Wall Street Journal Shareholder Scoreboard Honor Roll
March, 2007 — Superior Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: SPN) was one of just 24 companies named to the Wall Street Journal Honor Roll for consistently ranking among the top 20 percent of the largest 1,000 publicly traded companies for compound annual total returns over the past one, three, five and 10 years. Of these 24 companies, Superior ranked 18th for its five-year total return of 30.5 percent.
Superior also posted one-year returns of 55.2 percent, three-year returns of 51.5 percent and 10-year returns of 27 percent.
Company performance was measured on the basis of annualized compound total returns to shareholders, including price change and reinvestment of any dividends or other cash or non-cash distributions. Compound returns is the measure most commonly used to gauge performance by mutual-fund managers and other institutional investors.
Superior was one of only two oilfield services companies named to the honor roll. Within the oilfield services industry group, Superior ranked fourth out of 28 companies for its five-year return.
