International Snubbing Services Receives ExxonMobil Chairman's Award For Safety
Harvey, La. (June 13, 2008) - International Snubbing Services (ISS), a Superior Energy Services company, was recently honored with the ExxonMobil Chairman's Award in Australia. This award is the top honor for HSE performance and is presented annually to an ExxonMobil contractor.
Criteria used to rank companies in the region included incident rate and results from an Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) audit conducted by ExxonMobil representatives. With more than 19 years without a lost-time incident in Australia and a near-perfect score on the annual OIMS audit, the ISS team of 75 employees has worked hard to earn this award. ISS also won the Chairman's Award in 2006.
"At ISS, all employees buy into and take ownership of our Safety Management System and the philosophy that nobody gets hurt," said Mark Hardy, ISS vice president of operations. "It's this attitude that has led the team to excel in its HSE performance."
Mark Nolan, chairman of ExxonMobil Australia, presented the Chairman's Award to ISS at a contractor safety forum in Melbourne on May 15, 2008. ISS employees Chris Baker, country manager; Glenn Dyer, personnel and safety manager; and Ken Curtis, operations superintendent were in attendance.
ISS specializes in and maintains custom-built hydraulic workover and snubbing equipment together with all the support equipment required to maintain its customers wells. Its equipment line includes more than 25 HWO units ranging in size from 120K to 600K.
